The new church, 1963

By 1961 plans were well underway for the building of the new church, designed by a Quaker, Mr Martin Lidbetter. The Foundation stone was laid on 9th March 1963, and the new church dedicated and opened on 9th November 1963.

Below are scans of the order of service for the foundation laying, by all accounts on a very wet day, and for the celebrations and dedication of the new church.
